You ARE Enough!

Welcome back to Getting Started with your Day 2 Jumpstart!

Do you remember what we were talking about yesterday?

We were talking about aging backward both physically and spiritually. Do you think you feel and look your age?

There is something that’s even more important than feeling or looking your age. It will hold you back from the joy you’ll feel and the stress that might frame your countenance when it’s present in your life.

Do you have any idea what that might be?

I have a feeling that you’re struggling with it right now or have been in the past. This is one of the issues that so many women face internally that hold them back from feeling their best and knowing and experiencing the grace that God holds out for them.

It’s feeling you’re not enough!

I keep using the word ‘feel’ because when you feel you’re not enough, it affects your emotions and who you think you are.

Feelings cannot be trusted.

Neither can thoughts be trusted. Who you think you are is not at all who you are.

The thing is, that God has a special plan for you that includes a transformational process. Whether you are turning 30 or 60 or some other age in between or older, you are in a season of change.

As you age, your view of yourself is constantly changing. Who you are, grows and develops.

When you start the journey to learning who you are in Christ, you will start transforming into the daughter of the loving Father that God intended you to be. There are continual adjustments as you go through different seasons of life.

To help you age backward a little today, I first want to emphasize that you are beautiful. You are wonderfully and beautifully made by God.

When you learn to look into the mirror and see how God created you at this very moment in life to be his daughter, and that you are beautiful, you will also start to be changed from the inside too.

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Wonderful are your works;

my soul knows it very well. Psalm 139:14

The thing I want you to do today is to thank God for what you look like. For the face (eyes, nose, mouth, hair) that He has given you. He gave you a beautiful body too.

Thank Him for that. Did you know that a heart filled with gratitude is the first step to spiritual transformation on the inside?

Ingratitude will hold you back and cause stress in your face, tensing you up from the inside out.

As with anything, there is a balance. You probably hear so much about self-love and loving your body. That’s not the angle I’m encouraging.

It’s not good to be preoccupied with our body, but as you are living inside it, it’s good to value it as the temple (or living place) for the Holy Spirit to live.

The Holy Spirit dwells IN and works THROUGH your beautiful body. He gave it to you on loan.

But how do you treat it?

Do you feed it poorly?

Never give it exercise?

Do you put the wrong reading material and videos (from YouTube or Stories, you name it) into your brain? God also gave you a wonderful brain to use for His glory.

Do you keep your body shut away from fresh air and sunshine?

Do you feed your spirit, mind, and heart with the poisons of unforgiveness and bitterness?

Do you stay up way too late after feeding your body with a ton of caffeine and sugar?

Then, do you criticize your body for looking so terrible because, after all, you treated your body so badly?

Today is going to be the LAST day of that. STOP TREATING YOUR BODY BADLY!

My challenge for you today is to make up your mind to have respect, love, and appreciation for the body that God so graciously gifted to you.

No matter what shape you’re in today. Thank Him for how you look and the shape you are in today.

Then, get into God’s Word and spend time nurturing your mind, heart, and spirit with Jesus.

As you start accepting what you look like on the outside, it will start to affect your inside spirit. This is such a wonderful way to start aging backward. It will change the level of joy reflected on the outside and your facial expressions.

When this started happening to me, people started asking me what happened because they remembered seeing me walk through one of the toughest experiences of my life. All stress, depression, and sadness turned upside down by Jesus into JOY that couldn’t be explained.

Now, let’s workout together! When you start changing on the inside, your body will be more relaxed so the changes can start happening on the outside.
